About Us

The Pueblo Art Guild was established to promote local artists and their work, as well as connecting with and supporting our local art community.

Our organization, which is currently in its 67th year, maintains a gallery in Pueblo's Historic 1896 boathouse in Mineral Palace Park.

Our Story

Founded in1959 by 17 artists, including Una Vance, the Pueblo Art Guild (PAG) in Colorado was established to promote, encourage, and advance local art, fostering a deeper community appreciation for creative works. Operating from a historic 1896 boathouse in Mineral Palace Park, the guild is a place for local artists to showcase, sell, and share their work through various themed art shows throughout the year.

Key Historical Aspects of the Pueblo Art Guild:

  • Establishment: The guild was founded in 1959, with the initial meeting occurring at the McClellan Library.

  • Mission: The primary goal has always been the mutual advancement of members and the stimulation of community interest in art.

  • Venue: Since 1960, the guild has operated a gallery in the historic boathouse at Mineral Palace Park in Pueblo, Colorado.

  • Community Impact: The PAG hosts, showcases, and sells works from local artists, providing a platform for various genres of art. 

  • Milestones: The guild celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2019 with a special Diamond Jubilee exhibition.
